I’m Alison Baitz, a student at Simmons University studying children’s literature and library and information science, anticipated graduation date May 2022. I received my bachelor’s degree in magazine journalism from Syracuse University. In a previous life, I was a freelance writer.

My professional interests include critical librarianship, art, book history, library and special collections outreach, zines and self-publishing, Wikipedia editing and training, LIS labor issues, open access, open educational resources, services to underserved populations, promoting equity through library resources and programming, diverse (children's) books, women authors, and synthesizing information using graphic design. Probably other things, too.
